CHICAGO, Feb. 27 (UPI) -- Grains closed mixed Wednesday on the Chicago Board of Trade with the dollar index off 0.37 percent on the International Exchange.
Corn was off 1 1/2 to up 4 1/2; soybeans were up 4 to up 9 3/4 ; wheat was off 1 1/2 to up 1 and oats were off 1 to up 2 3/4.
Corn trading was choppy with support coming from an increase in the week in ethanol production. Wheat futures were off slightly, despite Saudi Arabia issuing a tender for 110,000 metric tons of soft red winter wheat and 440,000 metric tons of hard read winter wheat for June delivery. Soybean futures were supported by reports of long delays at Brazilian ports and mixed weather in South America.

Corn: Mar 7.09 1/2 up 4 1/2; May 6.95 1/4 up 1/2; Jly 6.78 3/4 off 1/4; Sep 5.77 3/4 off 1 1/2.
Soybeans: Mar 14.57 1/2 up 9 3/4; May 14.39 1/2 up 7 3/4; Jly 14.26 up 7 1/2; Aug 13.81 3/4 up 4.
Wheat: Mar 7.04 1/4 off 1 1/2; May 7.12 up 1; Jly 7.15 up 1; Sep 7.24 1/4 up 1.
Oats: Mar 3.82 3/4 up 2 3/4; May 3.71 3/4 unchanged; Jly 3.68 1/4 off 1; Sep 3.68 off 1.
