Beef recall announced over E. coli fears

WASHINGTON, Feb. 14 (UPI) -- Outdoor equipment firm John Deere is recalling 4,700 Gator utility vehicles due to an oil filter leak that poses a fire hazard, U.S. regulators said.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission said the recall involves John Deere Gator RSX850i Base, Sport and Trail model recreational utility vehicles manufactured between May 2012 and October 2012.
The vehicles have side-by-side seating and were sold from August 2002 through January 2013 nationwide for $12,900 to $15,500.
Deere & Co. of Moline, Ill., will schedule free inspections and repair through local dealerships. Consumers were advised to stop using the Gator utility vehicles and contact a dealer for an inspection.
Consumers can call 800-537-8233 for information.
