200,000 attend auto show in two days

DETROIT, Jan. 21 (UPI) -- Attendance at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit topped 100,000 Saturday and Sunday, the show's organizers said.

Attendance Sunday reached 105,509, topping attendance on the first Sunday of the 2012 show, when 102,918 people showed up.

The record for the day, 121,205, was set in 2001.

The first Sunday is the second day the show is open to the public, The Detroit Free Press reported Monday.

The show runs through this coming Sunday. It is open from 9 a.m., until 10 p.m., except on the last day, when it closes at 7 p.m.
