Beef recall announced over E. coli fears


NEW YORK, Jan. 8 (UPI) -- The price of crude oil held rock steady Tuesday on the New York Mercantile Exchange with prices resting near $93 per barrel.
West Texas Intermediate crude oil has been locked in close to $93 since last Wednesday. On Tuesday morning, it added 7 cents to $93.16 per barrel.
Gasoline shed 1.44 cents in late trading to reach $2.78 a gallon.
Home heating oil lost 0.35 cents to $3.055 a gallon.
The price of natural gas gained 0.1 cents to $3.228 per million British thermal units.
At the pump, AAA reported the national average price for regular unleaded gasoline rose to $3.30 per gallon from Monday's $3.297.
