Crude oil climbs

NEW YORK, Dec. 31 (UPI) -- Crude oil prices topped $91 per barrel Monday in New York while U.S. budget talks continued in Washington although no deal had been reached.

On the New York Mercantile Exchange, West Texas Intermediate crude oil for February delivery added 97 cents to $91.76 per barrel. Home heating oil for February lost 0.11 cents in late trading to $3.0307 a gallon. Reformulated blendstock gasoline added 0.03 cents to $2.762 a gallon.

Natural gas prices added 1.8 cents to $3.369 per million British thermal units.

At the pump, AAA reported the national average price for regular unleaded gasoline hit $3.292 per gallon, unchanged from Sunday.
