GM to recall 231,000 vehicles with fire hazard

PARIS, Dec. 28 (UPI) -- France's national data agency, INSEE, says the number of unemployed workers reached 3.13 million in November, the highest in nearly 15 years.
The number of workers who could not find jobs rose by 29,300 in the month, a 0.9 percent gain over October, Radio France Internationale reported Friday.
The number fails to account for people working part time, but looking for full-time work. With those included, the number of people looking for work rose to nearly 5 million.
In France, 10.7 percent of those considered active in the work force -- those looking for work or working -- were unemployed in the third quarter.
