WASHINGTON, Dec. 26 (UPI) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of Bethlehem Lights Christmas trees due to a fire hazard.

About 15,000 Ready Shape Scottsdale Trees with Never Fail Lights were imported from China and sold exclusively by QVC from July through November 2011 for $320 for the 6-foot-5 tree and $398 for the 7-foot-5 tree.

The trees were sold with "Bethlehem Lights" printed on the box and instruction sheets.

The commission advised consumers to stop using the trees immediately. QVC has received about 30 reports of the trees overheating.

Consumers were also advised to contact QVC of West Chester, Pa., for a refund.

Consumers can call 800-248-1434 for information.
