Beef recall announced over E. coli fears

WASHINGTON, Dec. 13 (UPI) -- The U.S. Producer Price Index for finished goods fell 0.8 percent in November, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Thursday.
On a 12-month unadjusted basis, prices were up 1.5 percent, a drop from October's unadjusted annual rate of 2.3 percent.
Food prices were up 1.3 percent in November, climbing for the sixth consecutive month. In November, energy prices dropped for the second consecutive month, falling 4.6 percent after sliding 0.5 percent in October.
Core prices, which exclude food and energy items, rose 0.1 percent October to November.
