BRUSSELS, Dec. 4 (UPI) -- Producer prices in the European Union and eurozone rose by 0.1 percent September to October, the region's data office said Tuesday.
Producer prices rose 0.1 percent in the 17-member eurozone as well, said Eurostat, the European Commission's statistics agency.
On a 12-month basis, industrial producer prices rose 2.6 percent in the eurozone and 2.5 percent in the 27-member EU.
Excluding the volatile category of energy, producer inflation remained the same at 0.1 percent, again both in the eurozone and the EU. For non-durable goods, producer prices rose by 0.2 percent in the eurozone while durable goods prices rose 0.1 percent, Eurostat said.
