Snapple co-founder dies at 85

NEW YORK, Nov. 26 (UPI) -- Gold dropped $1.80 on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange Monday as equities closed mixed on Wall Street.
Gold closed at $1,749.60 as the dollar index fell marginally, losing 0.16 percent to 80.09.
Silver added 2 cents to close at $34.23.
The dollar rose in most of Asia and fell across Europe, dropping against the British pound, the Russian ruble and the Swiss franc.
The euro rose to $1.2987 Monday from $1.2972 Friday. Against the yen, the dollar fell to 82.03 yen, compared to 82.08 in Friday's session.
