
CHICAGO, Nov. 21 (UPI) -- Grain futures were mostly lower on the Chicago Board of Trade Wednesday on a light-trading day before the Thanksgiving break.
Corn was off 1/2 to off 2 1/4, soybeans were off 2 1/2 to off 4 1/2, wheat was off 1 1/4 to up 1/4 and oats were off 5 to off 6 1/2.
Corn dropped on a weekly report that showed ethanol production at 811,000 barrels per day, down 13,000 from the previous week.
Wheat prices fell slightly as Bangladesh and Syria issued tenders of 50,000 metric tons and 100,000 metric tons, respectively.
The soybean market turned lower as improved weather in South America put pressure on prices.

Corn: Dec 7.41 off 2 1/4, Mar 7.45 1/4 off 2, May 7.42 off 1, Jly 7.31 3/4 off 1/2.
Soybeans: Nov 14.08 1/4 off 4 1/2, Jan 13.93 3/4 off 2 1/2, Mar 13.74 1/2 off 4 1/2, May 13.67 3/4 off 2 1/2.
Wheat: Dec 8.45 1/4 up 1/4, Mar 8.59 3/4 off 3/4, May 8.66 off 1/4, Jly 8.51 1/2 off 1 1/4.
Oats: 3.70 off 6 1/2, Mar 3.82 1/4 off 5 1/2, May 3.84 1/4 off 5, Jly 3.85 3/4 off 5.
