Gold up slightly

NEW YORK, Nov. 15 (UPI) -- Gold rose slightly Thursday as equities were once again sluggish on Wall Street.

Gold added $1.70 or 0.1 percent to settle at $1,715.50 per troy ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange.

Silver gave up 6 cents to $32.62 per ounce, off 0.18 percent.

The euro rose to $1.2784 from Wednesday's $1.2735. Against the yen, the dollar rose to 81.21 from 80.25 yen.
