
CHICAGO, Oct. 10 (UPI) -- Grain prices were mixed Wednesday on the Chicago Board of Trade as the dollar index was flat and equities closed lower on Wall Street.
Corn was off 3 1/2 to off 5 1/4, soybeans were off 12 to off 26 3/4, wheat was up 3 1/4 to up 5 1/2 and oats were up 4 1/2 to up 5 1/2.
Anticipation of October's crop reports due Thursday morning kept corn prices mostly steady Wednesday. Wheat prices found support from spread trading, which moved wheat higher along with corn. Soybean prices dropped early, then turned around late in in response to rain forecasts for growing areas of Brazil.

Corn: Dec 7.36 3/4 off 5 1/4, Mar 7.37 3/4 off 4 1/2, May 7.32 1/2 off 4, Jly 7.26 3/4 off 3 1/2.
Soybeans: Nov 15.23 1/4 off 26 3/4, Jan 15.23 3/4 off 25 1/2, Mar 14.87 1/4 off 17, May 14.39 1/2 off 12.
Wheat: Dec. 8.69 3/4 up 5 1/2, Mar 8.81 up 5 1/4, May 8.81 1/2 up 5, Jly 8.46 1/4 up 3 1/4.
Oats: Dec 3.83 1/2 up 5 1/2, Mar 3.87 up 4 1/2, May 3.88 1/2 up 5 1/4, Jly 3.88 3/4 up 5 1/4.
