CHICAGO, Oct. 10 (UPI) -- Grain prices were mixed Wednesday on the Chicago Board of Trade as the dollar index was flat and equities closed lower on Wall Street.

Corn was off 3 1/2 to off 5 1/4, soybeans were off 12 to off 26 3/4, wheat was up 3 1/4 to up 5 1/2 and oats were up 4 1/2 to up 5 1/2.

Anticipation of October's crop reports due Thursday morning kept corn prices mostly steady Wednesday. Wheat prices found support from spread trading, which moved wheat higher along with corn.
