
CHICAGO, Oct. 8 (UPI) -- Grain prices were mixed Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade with no major reports released as the U.S. Department of Agriculture was closed for Columbus Day.
Corn was off 6 to off 7 3/4, soybeans were off 1/2 to off 11, wheat was up 1/2 to up 3 1/2 and oats were up 3 1/4 to up 4 3/4.
A stronger dollar weighed on corn and soybean futures Monday. Slight gains were noted in wheat prices as dry weather in winter wheat production areas caused some concern.

Corn: Dec 7.42 off 6, Mar 7.42 off 6 1/2, May 7.36 1/4 off 7 1/2, Jly 7.30 off 7 3/4.
Soybeans: Nov 15.51 off 1/2, Jan 15.48 off 3, Mar 15.02 off 11, May 14.49 1/2 off 11.
Wheat: Dec. 8.61 up 3 1/2, Mar 8.71 1/4 up 2 1/2, May 8.71 3/4 up 2 1/4, Jly 8.40 3/4 up 1/2.
Oats: Dec 3.70 1/2 up 3 1/4, Mar 3.75 up 3 3/4, May 3.76 up 4 3/4, Jly 3.76 1/4 up 4 3/4.
