Crude oil holds near $92

NEW YORK, Oct. 2 (UPI) -- Crude oil prices moved up and down Tuesday but closed 40 cents lower than Monday, as oil remained within reach of $92 per barrel.

On the New York Mercantile Exchange, West Texas Intermediate crude oil for November delivery shed 40 cents to $91.70. Natural gas prices shed 2.2 cents to $3.509 per million British thermal units. Home heating oil shed 1.03 cents to $3.14255 per gallon. Reformulated blendstock gasoline lost 5.09 cents to $2.8692 per gallon.

At the pump, the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline was $3.78 per gallon, down from Monday's $3.782, AAA reported.
