API wants desks cleared of LNG export plans

NEW YORK, Oct. 1 (UPI) -- Gold prices ended the day slightly higher Monday on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange.
On the International Exchange, the dollar index reached 79.81, down 0.1 percent from Friday.
The euro fell to $1.2886 from Friday's $1.2859. Against the yen, the dollar rose to 78 yen from 75.44 yen.
Gold for December delivery added $3.50, 3.5 percent, to $1,777.40 per troy ounce.
Silver gained 11 cents to $34.69 per troy ounce.
