
CHICAGO, Sept. 13 (UPI) -- Grain futures closed higher Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade as the dollar index fell 0.54 percent to 79.27 on the International Exchange.
Corn was up 4 1/4 to up 5 3/4, soybeans were up 1 1/2 to up 11 1/4, wheat was up 11 to up 12 and oats were up 4 to up 5.
Corn traded in a narrow margin Thursday with support from the weaker dollar.
Wheat prices rose in double digits with commodities following equity markets higher, a late boost provided by the U.S. Federal Reserve, which announced a third round of bond buying to start in September.
Soybean prices made slight gains on a bullish export report that put weekly exports at 628,200 metric tons.

Corn: Sep 7.76 3/4 up 5 3/4, Dec 7.73 3/4 up 4 1/4, Mar 7.77 3/4 up 4 1/2, May 7.75 1/5 up 4 1/2.
Soybeans: Sep 17.43 1/2 up 2 3/4, Nov 17.47 1/4 up 1 1/2, Jan 17.48 up 3 1/2, Mar 17.05 up 11 1/4.
Wheat: Sep 8.79 up 12, Dec 9.02 up 12, Mar 9.14 3/4 up 12, May 9.11 1/4 up 11.
Oats: Sep 3.84 3/4 up 4 1/4, Dec 3.91 1/4 up 4 1/4, Mar 3.93 up 4, May 3.93 3/4 up 5.
