API wants desks cleared of LNG export plans

NEW YORK, Aug. 20 (UPI) -- Gold prices lost 90 cents to settle at $1,622.10 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange Monday.
Silver added 4 cents to $28.72 an ounce.
The euro rose to $1.2344 from Friday's $1.2335. Against the yen, the dollar fell to 79.37 yen from 79.57 yen.
The British pound was $1.5709 from $1.571. Against the Canadian dollar, the U.S. dollar was 0.9885 from 0.9891 Friday.
