GM to recall 231,000 vehicles with fire hazard

NEW YORK, Aug. 7 (UPI) -- Crude oil prices ended at their highest level in more than two months, gaining $1.47 to settle at $93.67 a barrel Tuesday on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
It was the highest settlement for crude oil since May 15.
Reformulated blendstock gasoline added 7 cents and finished at $2.99 a gallon.
Natural gas gained 6 cents, settling at $2.96 per million British thermal units.
Home heating oil also picked up 6 cents, closing at $3 a gallon, the highest settlement since May 9.
At the pump, the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline was $3.634 Tuesday, up from $3.619 Monday.
