NEW YORK, Aug. 6 (UPI) -- After a shaky start, the price of crude oil closed up Monday on the New York Mercantile Exchange, picking up 80 cents settling at $92.20 a barrel.
Natural gas picked up 3 cents to $2.91 per million British thermal units.
Home heating oil also added 1 cent to close the session at $2.94.
Reformulated blendstock gasoline lost less than a penny, settling at $2.92 a gallon.
At the pump, the average cost for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline jumped to $3.619 per gallon from $3.567 on Friday, AAA reported.
