More to U.S. oil than North Dakota, EIA says
REDMOND, Wash., July 13 (UPI) -- Microsoft will unveil details of version 15 of its Office software suite, the company's flagship productivity software, Monday, analysts predict.
Office 15, including the cash cow Word word processor, is expected to go on sale early next year.
The latest changes and additions are expected to tailor the program for Windows 8, Microsoft's upcoming operating system expected to debut in October.
That means Office will likely be enhanced for touch screen capabilities, the Los Angeles Times reported.
It also means Office 15 will likely not be supported by older versions of Windows, working only with Windows 7 and Windows 8.
Office 15 is expected to offer integration with Facebook, Flickr, Hotmail and SkyDrive, Microsoft's cloud storage offering.
There have conflicting rumors about whether Office 15 will be exclusive to Microsoft products or make a move to Apple's iPad, the Times said.
