
CHICAGO, July 9 (UPI) -- U.S. grain futures rallied Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade as hot, dry temperatures weighed on the outlook for this year's crops.
Corn was up 32 to 37, soybeans were up 39 1/2 to up 45 1/4, wheat was up 19 1/2 up 22 and oats were up 16 to up 23 1/4.
Corn was sharply higher, with December corn at the highest level since April 2011 on crop yield concerns. Lack of rain and high temperatures in the Corn Belt also pushed soybeans, wheat and oats higher.
The prices:
Corn: Jly 7.75 1/4 up 32, Sep 7.32 up 36 3/4, Dec 7.30 up 37, Mar 7.35 1/2 up 35 1/2.
Soybeans: Jly 16.65 up 45 1/4, Aug 16.06 3/4 up 39 1/2, Sep 15.73 up 41, Nov 15.47 3/4 up 42.
Wheat: Jly 8.10 3/4 up 19 1/2, Sep 8.28 1/4 up 22, Dec 8.43 3/4 up 22, Mar 8.53 1/4 up 20 1/2.
Oats: Jly 3.74 3/4 up 23 1/4, Sep 3.77 3/4 up 16, Dec 3.79 1/2 up 20, Mar 3.83 1/2 up 20.
