GM to recall 231,000 vehicles with fire hazard

NEW YORK, July 9 (UPI) -- Energy prices were higher Monday, with crude oil topping $86 a barrel in New York.
Crude oil was up $1.93 on the New York Mercantile Exchange to $86.38 per barrel.
Home heating oil prices were up 5.12 cents, or 1.89 percent, to $2.7611.
Reformulated blendstock gasoline hit $2.5875 per gallon, off 4.43 cents.
Natural gas for August delivery was at $2.866 per million British thermal units.
At the pump, the national average price of unleaded gasoline rose to $3.3882 per gallon Monday, AAA said.
