More to U.S. oil than North Dakota, EIA says


NEW YORK, June 12 (UPI) -- Gold prices closed higher on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange Tuesday, adding $17.50 to settle at $1,614.30 per troy ounce.
Silver added 34 cents to close at $28.96 per troy ounce.
The dollar was mixed in Asia, but lower across Europe.
The euro rose to $1.2504 from Monday's $1.2482. Against the yen, the dollar rose to 79.54 from 79.44 yen.
The British pound was $1.557 from $1.5486 Monday. The dollar was trading 1.0265 Canadian dollars from 1.0316 Canadian.
