API wants desks cleared of LNG export plans

NEW YORK, May 3 (UPI) -- Gold prices moved slightly higher on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange Thursday as equities on Wall Street were mostly out of favor.
Gold moved up slightly Monday and Tuesday, backslid Wednesday, then added $2.50 Thursday to reach $1,637.30 per troy ounce. Silver added 7 cents to close at $30.08 an ounce.
The euro fell to $1.315 from Wednesday's $1.3152, while the dollar rose to 80.26 yen from Wednesday's 80.17 yen.
