NEW YORK, April 27 (UPI) -- The price for a barrel of crude oil added 38 cents Friday, settling at $104.93 on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

Traders turned aside concerns over European debt and slower-than-expected U.S. growth to send prices higher.

Natural gas closed up, adding 0.063 cents to end the session at $2.187 per million British thermal units.

Home heating oil lost 0.0185 cent, closing at $3.1767 per gallon.

Gasoline closed at $3.1968 a gallon, up 0.0135 cent.

At the pump, the national average price of unleaded gasoline dropped to $3.826 per gallon Friday from Thursday's $3.83, AAA said.
