NEW YORK, April 19 (UPI) -- Crude oil prices held to less than $103 per barrel Thursday in New York as the government said U.S. stockpiles rose in the latest weekly report.
Inventories rose by 3.9 million barrels in the week to 369 million.
West Texas Intermediate crude oil for May delivery added 32 cents in late trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange to $102.59 per barrel.
Home heating oil prices shed 0.06 cents to $3.1243 per gallon. Reformulated blendstock gasoline gained 0.71 cents to $3.1229 per gallon.
Natural gas prices added 0.4 cents to $1.911 per million British thermal units.
At the pump, the national average price of unleaded gasoline dropped to $3.891 per gallon Thursday from Wednesday's $3.899, AAA said.
