Crude oil heads higher

NEW YORK, March 8 (UPI) -- Crude oil prices climbed higher Thursday in New York as stock markets kept up a rebound in Asia and Europe.

April delivery light sweet crude on the New York Mercantile Exchange added 17 cents to reach $106.75 per barrel. Home heating oil gained 0.2 cents to $3.2715 per gallon. Reformulated gasoline shed 0.25 cents to $3.3115 per gallon.

Henry Hub natural gas prices gained 2.9 cents in late trading to $2.301 per million British thermal units.

The national average price of unleaded gasoline fell slightly for the third consecutive day, dropping to $3.758 per gallon from Wednesday's $3.761, AAA said.
