WASHINGTON, Feb. 21 (UPI) -- International Playthings of Parsippany, N.J., is recalling 31,000 toys for toddlers due to choking and laceration hazards, a watchdog agency said.

The toys can break into small pieces, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said. This can raise the risk of children choking or cutting themselves, the agency said in a statement.

The recall involves all Tumblekins toy vehicles and playsets.

The toys are wooden, but painted in bright colors. The recalled toys include the fire station with model No. T05000, farm playset with model No. T05001, police car with model No. T05002, Roadster with model No. T05003, Off-roadster with model No. T05004, fire truck with model No. T05005 and school bus with model No. T05006.

They were sold nationwide from March 2011 through December 2011 for between $14 and $35.

Consumers were advised to take the recalled toys away from children immediately and contact International Playthings to receive a free replacement toy.

Consumers can call 800-445-8347 for information.
