U.S. markets recover from steep losses


NEW YORK, Feb. 10 (UPI) -- Crude oil prices dropped to $98 per barrel in New York Friday with prices following equities lower.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange, light, sweet West Texas Intermediate crude oil lost 95 cents, 1 percent, from Thursday to $98.97 per barrel.
Home heating oil lost 2.15 cents to $3.187 per gallon. Reformulated gasoline shed 2.83 cents to reach $2.9845 per gallon.
Henry Hub natural gas prices gave up 0.5 cents to $2.472 per million British thermal units.
At the pump, the national average price of unleaded gasoline rose to $3.497 per gallon Friday from Thursday's $3.488, AAA said.
