TROLLHATTAN, Sweden, Feb. 8 (UPI) -- Insolvent Swedish automobile company Saab has attracted potential buyers, said a bankruptcy trustee, who did not want to reveal names.

The Stockholm News reported Wednesday that Hans Bergqvist confirmed there were "indicative offers" for the car company that shut down production in 2011 when it ran out of cash to pay suppliers and workers.

News reports have speculated the Chinese firm Youngman and the Indian firm Mahindra are in the hunt for Saab.

Bergvist said it would be "some weeks" before a buyer was revealed, the newspaper said.
