U.S. markets recover from steep losses

NEW YORK, Feb. 8 (UPI) -- Crude oil traded in narrow margins Wednesday, staying close to $99 per barrel as stocks markets muted gains.
Light, sweet crude oil on the New York Mercantile Exchange added 57 cents to $98.88 per barrel. Home heating oil gained 1.1 cents to $3.2005 per gallon. Reformulated blendstock gasoline gained 0.63 cents to $2.93815 per gallon.
Natural gas prices gained 0.5 cents to $2.453 per million British thermal units.
At the pump, the national average price of unleaded gasoline rose to $3.483 per gallon Wednesday from Tuesday's $3.48, AAA said.
