U.S. markets recover from steep losses


NEW YORK, Feb. 7 (UPI) -- The price for a barrel of crude oil rose Tuesday on the New York Mercantile Exchange, adding 42 cents to reach $98.83 per barrel.
Home heating oil shed 0.27 cents to $3.1882 a gallon.
Reformulated blendstock gasoline lost 0.26 cents to $2.9249 per gallon.
Natural gas shed 0.1 cents to slide to $2.471 per million British thermal units.
At the pump, the national average price of unleaded gasoline was unchanged at $3.48 per gallon Tuesday, AAA said.
