U.S. markets recover from steep losses


NEW YORK, Feb. 3 (UPI) -- The price for a barrel of crude oil gained $1.28, or 1.5 percent, to settle at $97.84 Friday on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Gasoline added a nickel, or 1.6 percent, to close at $2.91 a gallon.
Heating oil picked up 6 cents, or 1.6 percent, to settle at $3.11 a gallon.
Natural gas lost 5.5 cents, or 2.2 percent, to end at $2.50 per million British thermal units.
At the pump, the national average price of unleaded gasoline rose to $3.467 per gallon Friday from Thursday's $3.455, AAA said.
