CHICAGO, Jan. 20 (UPI) -- Grain futures were mixed at the close Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade.
Corn was off 1 1/2 to up 7, soybeans were off 8 3/4 to off 11 1/2, wheat was up 4 1/2 to up 5 1/4 and oats were unchanged to up 3 1/2.
Soybean futures posted a low-range close with losses of 8 to 11 cents but finished the week with slight gains. Corn futures ended mixed amid bull spreading, with deferred contracts pressured by a higher 2012 planted acreage estimate. Talk of winterkill issues pushed wheat higher.

Corn: Mar 6.13 up 7, May 6.16 up 4, Jly 6.15 up 5, Sep 5.77 1/4 down 1 1/2.
Soybeans: Mar 11.85 1/2 down 11 1/2, May 11.94 down 10 1/4, Jly 12.03 1/4 down 9 1/4, Sep 12.01 1/4 down 8 3/4.
Wheat: Mar 6.11 up 5 1/4, May 6.28 up 4 1/2, Jly 6.43 1/2 up 4 1/2, Sep 6.60 1/2 up 4 3/4.
Oats: Mar 2.94 3/4 up 2, May 2.95 3/4 up 3, Jly 2.98 1/2 up 3 1/2, Sep 2.95 unc.
