Club Car recalls golf cars

WASHINGTON, Dec. 9 (UPI) -- Club Car LLC of Augusta, Ga., is recalling about 600 golf cars due to faulty fuel tanks, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced.

The firm has received three reports of leaking seams on the fuel tanks of 2011 Precedent golf cars, the commission said in a statement.

The recall involves model CF, PR and PY of the Precedent golf cars.

Consumers were advised to stop using the golf cars and contact Club Car for a free inspection and replacement fuel tank.

Consumers can call 800-227-0739, extension 3580, for information.
