WASHINGTON, July 14 (UPI) -- Retail sales in June rose a slim 0.1 percent, the U.S. Census Bureau reported Thursday.
Retail sales, adjusted for seasonal variations but not for prices, were $387.8 billion, which represented an 8.1 percent increase from June 2010, the bureau said in a release.

Total sales for the second quarter this year were up 7.7 percent from the same period a year ago.
Retail trade sales were up 0.2 percent in June from May, and 8.5 percent above last year, data indicated.
Gasoline sales were up 23.6 percent from June 2010 and non-store retail sales were up 12.3 percent from last year, the bureau said.
