U.S. markets recover from steep losses

WASHINGTON, July 7 (UPI) -- New York company Chanel is recalling 120 scarves and 34 garments due to violation of federal flammability standards, federal watchdogs said.
The scarves and garments made of 100 percent pure silk were sold at Chanel Boutiques, Neiman Marcus and Maxfield stores for between $430 and $3,650, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said in a statement.
The recall involves scarves, dresses, skirts and blouses made in France or Italy. Consumers were advised to stop using the recalled items and contact the company for a full refund.
Consumers can call 800-550-0005 for more information. Most of the items have already been returned, the commission said.
