WASHINGTON, March 8 (UPI) -- Milestone AV Technologies of Savage, Minn., is recalling about 2,500 surge protectors due to a shock hazard, federal regulators said.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said the Sanus Elements surge protectors imported from China were sold at home theater dealers from June 2009 through December 2010 for about $90 apiece.
Consumers were advised to stop using the Sanus Elements model ELM205 low-profile surge protectors, which have improper grounding and inadequate insulation.
Consumers can contact Milestone for a free replacement or refund.
