Family Dollar recalls toy tanks

WASHINGTON, Jan. 28 (UPI) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Family Dollar Store is recalling 67,000 remote control toy tanks due to a burn hazard.

The controllers on the Authentic Heroes Target Practice Tank can overheat and melt, the commission said in a statement.

The toy tanks were distributed by Family Dollar Services Inc., of Charlotte, N.C., and sold at stores nationwide from September 2010 through December 2010 for about $5.

Consumers were advised to take the toy army tanks away from children and return them to a Family Dollar Store for a full refund.
