WASHINGTON, Oct. 30 (UPI) -- A New Jersey company is recalling about 3,300 girl's outdoor vests with metal snaps that could come off and pose a choking hazard, a U.S. watchdog agency says.
The white ruffle outdoor vests were imported from China by The Children's Place Services Co. of Secaucus, N.J., and sold online at www.childrensplace.com in September for about $20 each, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said in a statement announcing the voluntary recall.
The vests are quilted with a fake fur hood. The metal snaps on the vest can detach, however, posing a choking hazard, the commission said.
Consumers who purchased the vests will be mailed instructions for returning the vests for a full refund.
Consumers can call 877-752-2387 for information.
