Crude oil prices hold steady Tuesday

NEW YORK, Oct. 26 (UPI) -- Crude oil prices held steady above $82 per barrel New York, despite the dollar index rising 0.77 percent.

After two days of gains on a weaker dollar, December delivery crude oil prices lost 8 cents on the New York Mercantile Exchange to $82.44 per barrel. Heating oil prices shed 1.08 cents from a recent settlement to $2.2633 per gallon. Reformulated gasoline prices added 0.42 cents to $2.0715 per gallon. Henry Hub natural gas prices added 2.4 cents to $3.341 per million British thermal units.

At the pump, the national average price of unleaded gasoline dropped to $2.81 per gallon Tuesday from Monday's $2.813, AAA said.
