LAS VEGAS, Oct. 13 (UPI) -- Links on two gambling Web sites use Station Casinos Inc. trademarks, but direct customers away from its business, court papers filed in Nevada say.
Stations Casinos filed two separate trademark violation lawsuits in U.S. District Court, one against S.L. Enterprises and one against Ryan Murphy of Britain, the Las Vegas Sun reported Wednesday.
Both Murphy and S.L. Enterprises were cashing in on Station Casinos' trademarks in an attempt to "lure away prospective visitors to Las Vegas," the lawsuits allege.
The lawsuit against S.L. Enterprises says the Web site, while using Station Casino trademarks, includes a statement that its gambling policies "pay out more than is required in Vegas."
The defendants were not available for comment, the newspaper said.
