'S T U F F' and Paw Wall Hooks recalled

Sept. 29, 2010 at 3:39 PM   |   Comments

WASHINGTON, Sept. 29 (UPI) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of "S T U F F" and Paw Wall Hooks due to excessive lead in the surface paint.

About 4,450 wall hooks with the base shaped like animal paws and a set of five separate colorful hooks with the bases spelling out "stuff" were imported from China by Midwest-CBK of Union City, Tenn., and sold nationwide from December 3008 through August 2010 for between $10 and $30.

The commission said the metal hooks on the blue paw hooks contain levels of lead that exceed federal standards.

Consumers were advised to return the wall hook sets to Midwest-CBK for a refund.

Consumers can call 800-422-5583 for information.
