
CHICAGO, Sept. 7 (UPI) -- Grain futures closed mixed on the Chicago Board of Trade Tuesday as the dollar index surged 1.03 percent.
Soybeans were up 14 to up 17 3/4, wheat was off 1/4 to off 6 and oats were up 6 to up 11 1/2.
Wheat prices closed lower under pressure from the stronger dollar, but with support from confirmation that Russia would keep its grain export ban in place through the end of the year. Soybean futures made gains in sympathy with oil prices, which rose Tuesday.

Soybeans: Sep 10.43 3/4, up 14; Nov 10.52, up 17; Jan 10.61 1/2, up 17 3/4, Mar 10.66 3/4, up 17 3/4.
Wheat: Sep 7.02 1/2, up 5 3/4; Dec 7.35 1/4, off 6; Mar 7.61, off 3; May 7.56 1/2, off 1/4.
Oats: Sep 2.94 1/2, up 11 1/2; Dec 3.03, up 8; Mar 3.11 1/2, up 6; May 3.16 1/2, up 6 1/2.
