Swedish agency Flyhome strands travelers

GOTHENBURG, Sweden, July 29 (UPI) -- Swedish travel agency Flyhome has left 650 travelers stranded in Iraq and 450 in Lebanon as it has filed for bankruptcy, a Swedish news outlet said Thursday.

Tidningarnas Telegrambyra reported the travelers stuck were pledged a flight to Sweden.

Otherwise, "Those who are stranded can now turn to the Transportation Agency and the Consumer Agency and discuss the situation that has arisen," attorney Lennart Landren said.

"I believe that those who bought tickets but did not get to fly will not have priority when it comes to demands from the bankruptcy," he said.
