U.S. markets recover from steep losses


NEW YORK, May 19 (UPI) -- Crude oil prices rose above $71 per barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange Wednesday, although equity markets continued to slide.
In New York, June delivery crude oil prices gained $1.30 to $71.17 per barrel.
Heating oil prices for June delivery added 0.0023 cents to $1.9475 per gallon. Reformulated gasoline blendstock prices rose 0.0048 cents to $2.02 per gallon. Henry Hub natural gas prices rose 0.005 cents to $4.163 per million British thermal units.
At the pump, the national average price for unleaded regular gasoline dropped to $2.852 per gallon from Tuesday's $2.859, AAA said.
