U.S. markets recover from steep losses

WASHINGTON, March 11 (UPI) -- The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of Telebrands scarves with heat packs due to fire and burn hazards.
About 98,000 Therma Scarf scarves were imported from China by Telebrands Corp. of Fairfield, N.J., and sold nationwide from October 2009 through January 2010 for between $20 and $25 each.
The scarves include pockets that hold microwaveable heat packs filled with flax seeds. The firm, however, has received seven reports of overheating heat packs, including five incidents involving fires, the commission said in a statement.
Consumers were advised to return the scarves to the place of purchase for a full refund.
Consumers can call 800-777-4034 for information.
