GM to recall 231,000 vehicles with fire hazard


NEW YORK, Feb. 12 (UPI) -- Crude oil prices slid to nearly $74 per barrel Friday on the New York Mercantile Exchange on an up and down trading day.
March delivery light, sweet crude oil prices peaked at $75.28 per barrel in midday trading before losing $1.08 to settle at $74.20.
Prices ended the week higher with prices on Monday close to $71 per barrel.
Heating oil shed 0.0388 cents to $1.9242 per gallon. Reformulated gasoline blendstock lost 0.0062 cents to $1.9295 per gallon. Natural gas prices rose 0.057 cents to $5.453 per million British thermal units.
At the pump, the national average price of unleaded gasoline was $2.628 per gallon Friday, down from Thursday's $2.636, AAA said.
