WASHINGTON, Jan. 15 (UPI) -- The U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of mattress sets by Mattress World due to a violation of flammability standards.
About 750 mattress sets sold in Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas between May 2009 and September 2009 by Mattress World of Dallas, Texas, fail to meet federal standards for open-flame resistance and pose a hazard to consumers, the commission said in a statement.
The recall involves twin, full, queen and king mattress sets with various floral designs with labels that say they were manufactured between May 29, 2009, and Sept. 4, 2009, and prototype ID numbers MWQ or MWFOBXQ.
Consumers were advised to return the mattress sets for a full refund.
Consumers can call 877-819-0725 for information.
